Start on Your Board, With a Two-Minute Tour

When you sign in, you now land on your Board, with a short walkthrough of your portal pinned on top and a two-minute narrated tour video. If you work with us on more than one brand, you can switch between them at the top left. And change requests now wait as drafts until you send them together.

Specloop release 1.383: start on your Board, with a two-minute tour

This release is about finding your way around. The first page you see now explains the rest, and there's a short video that shows you everything in two minutes.

Watch the two-minute tour

Your Board, Dashboard, Chat, Change requests, the Activity feed, Documents and Help, in two minutes.

The same video plays on your Board, so anyone new on your team can watch it the first time they sign in.

You start on your Board

When you sign in, accept an invitation or reset your password, you now land on your Board instead of the Dashboard. The Board is also first in your sidebar.

At the top of the Board is a walkthrough of your portal, one step at a time: the Board itself, your Dashboard, Chat, Change requests, Documents and Videos, and where to get help. Each step has a screenshot and a link straight to that page. Use Next and Back to move through it.

Once you know your way around, press Got it, make this smaller and it shrinks to a single line. Click that line any time to bring it back.

What the Board is for

The Board is for things worth keeping and coming back to: decisions, plans, feedback after a call, reports, and anything several people need to work on together. A post stays put, so it doesn't scroll away the way a chat does. Reply in the comments to keep the whole conversation on one post.

For a quick question, use Chat. For something on your site you want changed, use Change requests. News about Specloop itself, like this post, lives in What's new, not on your Board.

More than one brand? Switch at the top left

If you work with us on more than one brand or project, there's now a Your brands list at the top left of your portal. Pick one and the pages that belong to a project follow it, your Board included. On the Board, Show posts from all your brands puts every brand's posts in one list when you want the full picture.

Change requests: check them, then send them together

When you pin a change on your site, it now starts as a draft. Nothing reaches us yet, so you can pin everything you notice on a page, come back to it, edit it or delete it.

When you're ready, press the send button in the preview toolbar. It shows how many changes are waiting. You get one screen with every draft on it: check the wording, untick anything you want to hold back, and send. Everything you sent shows in your Activity feed.

From there the team picks it up. Most change requests go live within a day, many within a few hours, and each one comes back on its own pin, marked Live with a before and after, or with a question if we need anything from you.

A help center with real screenshots

The Help center in your sidebar has been rewritten around the portal as it is today. Every article has real screenshots, with each part of the page marked and explained underneath. It also covers which to use when: Chat, a change request, or the Board.

Your dashboard's chat card also says who will read your message, for example Goes to Anna, Ben and the Specloop team, so you always know who you're talking to.

Frequently asked

Questions people ask about this

  • Yes. It's second in your sidebar, right under the Board, and works exactly as before. Only the page you land on after signing in has changed.
